So, after a break in blogs I come to you from sunny Devon. There’s a salon group down this way that have recently converted to Goldwell and I’ve seen helping out for the past three weeks, making their transition to a new brand painless.
I am a compete model obsessive. My favourite TV shows are Americas Next Top Model, The Model Agency & Project Runway to name a few. I love the drama, the bitchiness, the makeovers and of course the beautiful people.
We do a lot of wedding hair here at Hobson and Holmes. We pride ourselves on making you feel really special on your big day. We can advise you on, and then create and perfect your desired look. I’m Nick; I’m creative director, manager and co-owner of Hobson & Holmes. Following three years of success in our flagship West Park salon, I have recently taken on a new role as a Goldwell ambassador and freelance educator. As part of this I get to meet some amazing people, see some brilliant work and travel to some awesome places. I thought it was time to share my experiences with you all, and hence the blog was born.
The new range is a relaunch of a Goldwell classic; Colorance. Colorance is a demi-permanent colour range that has been going strong for 25 years. We use it every day in the salon with amazing results so we were really keen to learn about how it was going to be improved.
The course in question is called Color Expert (with an American spelling), and is basically the highest accolade that a stylist can receive. You’ll be pleased to know that every stylist at Hobson and Holmes is now a qualified Color Expert. We regularly revisit product knowledge and train in new techniques to improve our performance and to make sure that we’re offering you guys, our wonderful clients, the very best we can give.
