You can order from us in the following way:

Online via the website

• When you place an order for a product you are agreeing to buy it for the price stated, subject to these terms.
• When you place an order online we will send you and email to confirm that we have received it. This email confirmation will be produced automatically so that you have confirmation of your order details. The fact that you receive an automatic confirmation does not necessarily mean that we will be able to meet your order. If a product is not available we will endeavour to let you know via email.
• Hobson and Holmes reserves the right to cancel any sale and not supply products if it is reasonable to do so and may change or discontinue the availability of products at any time at its sole discretion. If an order is cancelled, any payment made for the products will be refunded in full. This does not affect your statutory rights.
• All new orders are deemed separate and each is treated individually.
• We endeavour to ensure that all prices on hobsonandholmes.co.uk are accurate but errors may occur. If we discover an error in pricing of the products in your order we will inform you as soon as possible using the contact details you have supplied us with. We will then give you the option of re-confirming your order at the correct price or cancelling it. (If we are unable to reach you we will treat the order as cancelled). If an order is cancelled, any payment made for the products will be refunded in full.
• Prices are quoted on hobsonandholmes.co.uk in UK pounds sterling - outside the UK your credit card company will charge you in your local currency at the current rate. Please note that both charges and refunds are in UK pounds sterling and hobsonandholmes.co.uk cannot be held responsible for any loss due to exchange rate fluctuations.
• Non-EU customers are responsible for import duty/tax in their respective countries. Unfortunately we cannot advise you what these costs will be - please consult your local customs office for more information.

Payment

• You must pay for your order before it is delivered and you can do so by credit card or debit card.
• If your delivery address is outside the UK and you order online you must pay by credit card.

Credit Cards

• Orders may be processed online using a credit or debit card (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Delta and Switch/Solo).
• If your delivery address is outside the UK and you order online you must pay by credit card.
• To ensure that shopping online is secure, your credit/debit card details will be encrypted to ensure that these details cannot be intercepted by a third party.
• Your credit card company may also carry out security checks to confirm that your order is genuine.
• All orders are subject to our own security and credit card verification procedures. Hobsonandholmes.co.uk reserves the right to withhold any order that has failed to be verified. Should there be any problem with verification of your card details you will be notified via email.

Availability

• We endeavour to keep hobsonandholmes.co.uk as up to date as possible but cannot guarantee that a particular product will always be available. If we are unable to supply a product you will be refunded for it.
• All offers are available while stocks last. If we are unable to supply a product you have ordered, we will notify you via email, where possible, and will either refund you for that item or provide you with further information regarding future availability.

Delivery

• Hobsonandholmes.co.uk delivers to destinations within the UK.
• Orders are dispatched either via Royal Mail (1st Class), Recorded Delivery or via courier. Our couriers require a signature and operate between 8am - 6pm on weekdays only, so please specify an address where someone will be able to sign for your parcel during these hours.
• We regret that we can only track orders sent via Courier. Those sent via Royal Mail 1st Class or Recorded Delivery cannot be tracked until delivery.
• We will make every effort to deliver within the time stated on Hobsonandholmes.co.uk but we will not be liable for any loss caused to you by late delivery.
• Please order from Hobsonandholmes.co.uk with enough lead-time to prevent any loss or disappointment resulting from the delivery time as Hobsonandholmes.co.uk cannot be responsible for this.
• This does not affect your statutory rights as the consumer.

Privacy and Data Protection

• Hobsonandholmes.co.uk is committed to protecting your privacy and promises only to use information collected about you in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998.
• When you place an order, we may ask you for certain information and you may submit personal data to Hobsonandholmes.co.uk (for example your name, phone number, postal address, email address, contact and bank/credit card details). We may also record which products you are interested in and which products you purchase as well as customer traffic patterns and site use. This information will be kept securely in accordance with our internal security policy and may be used to: a) process your order b) provide you with an up to date, efficient and reliable service c) help to prevent fraud i.e. we check card details with our merchant card checking facility and reserve the right to refuse orders on that basis d) open and run your membership & send subscription emails e) provide a more tailor made shopping experience.
• By making an order and submitting your data you agree to this use.
• We will never collect sensitive information about you without your explicit consent.
• At no time will any information gained about you be passed on to any third-party for marketing purposes.

Returns

We do accept goods back at Hobsonandholmes.co.uk, however only in the following circumstances

* We accept goods back within a 7 day period, for any reason, that have been unused. However, we will expect you to cover the return postage costs & charge you an additional handling charge of £4.50. * We cannot accept goods back that have been used.

If you have received the wrong goods or they have been damaged in transit, we will make sure that you receive replacement products at no extra cost. We will also reimburse any reasonable costs for the return of the products upon receipt of them. When posting back the goods, please include your receipt as proof of postage otherwise we will not be able to reinburse you for postage. Please contact salon@hobsonandholmes.co.uk to arrange this.

Should you require a replacement much quicker (i.e. it is a birthday gift), we will be happy to send this out the next day. We shall however treat this as a new order & you will be charged for the replacement item(s) + our standard postage costs (£2.95 plus 55p per additional item) . This will of course be refunded in full as long as the item(s) is returned undamaged within 7 days. Failure to do so will result in you being charged for the replacement item as well as your original order. By requesting an item to be sent out before returning the damaged / incorrect one, you are agreeing to these charges.

Responsibilities of Hobsonandholmes.co.uk

• Hobsonandholmes.co.uk has endeavoured to make the descriptions (including all images) of the products as accurate as possible but we cannot be held responsible for changes in size, content or presentation of products made by the relevant manufacturer.
• Because of the nature of the Internet Hobsonandholmes.co.uk provides and maintains Hobsonandholmes.co.uk on an 'as is', 'as available' basis and makes no promise that use of Hobsonandholmes.co.uk will be uninterrupted or entirely error free. We are not responsible to you if we are unable to provide our Internet services for any reason beyond our control.
• Hobsonandholmes.co.uk will not be liable in any amount for failure to perform any obligation under this agreement if such failure is caused by the occurrence of any unforeseen event beyond its reasonable control including without limitation Internet outages, communication outages, fire, flood, war or act of God.
• These terms do not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.
• Subject as aforesaid, to the maximum extent permitted by law, Hobsonandholmes.co.uk excludes liability for loss or damage of any kind howsoever arising, including without limitation any direct, indirect or consequential loss whether or not such loss arises out of any problem you notify to Hobsonandholmes.co.uk and Hobsonandholmes.co.uk shall have no liability to pay any money by way of compensation, including without limitation all liability in relation to:

* any incorrect or inaccurate information on Hobsonandholmes.co.uk;
* any interruptions to or delays in updating Hobsonandholmes.co.uk;
* the infringement by any person of any Intellectual Property rights of any third party caused by their use of Hobsonandholmes.co.uk or any product purchased through Hobsonandholmes.co.uk
* any loss or damage resulting from your use of inability to use the Hobsonandholmes.co.uk website or resulting from unauthorised access to, or alteration of your transmissions or data in circumstances which are beyond our control;
* any loss of profit, wasted expenditure, corruption or destruction of data or any other loss which does not directly result from our error;

General

• In the event that any part of these terms is held to be unenforceable, such part will at Hobsonandholmes.co.uk option be construed as far as possible to reflect the parties' intentions and the remainder of the provisions will remain in full force and effect.
• These terms constitute the full agreement between you and Hobsonandholmes.co.uk and may only be amended in writing. They apply to the exclusion of all other terms or conditions of contract proposed
