How H&H was created

Andrew Hobson, a resident on the Westpark estate (Darlington) was inspired to create a business within Westpark Village after speaking with local developers and town planners. It was clear to Andrew that all of the parties involved in creating Westpark and its unique environment were all striving for the same goal - a self sufficient modern village.

Andrew looked at various businesses, however, decided that the ideal would be a contemporary stylish hair and beauty salon. The premises, the architect, the builder and an accountant were in place - the major aspect that was missing was a salon manager.

Andrew was introduced to Nick, who managed the Saks salon in Darlington and Hexham. Both Andrew and Nick quickly established a relationship and discovered that their vision were very similar on how the salon should look and how it should be run.

Soon after Andrew invited Nick to join the business as Creative Director and Hobson and Holmes was created.
